A hospital in the Danish city of Koge, located near Copenhagen, has begun to use artificial intelligence (AI) in the treatment of cancer patients.
AI technologies are used to treat patients with colon and rectal cancer. The system helps doctors to prescribe an individual treatment protocol for the patient before and after surgery. To do this, AI analyzes a person’s medical history, as well as data from 76 thousand people with the same disease.
According to medical experts, thanks to AI advice, the proportion of postoperative complications has been halved. In total, AI has prescribed treatment to patients in the hospital 200 times.
